We are pleased to announce that Jianghai Wang has successfully completed the DFT Dragon Challenge, becoming the first student to do so. The challenge is an advanced self-consistent density functional theory assignment designed to assess deep conceptual understanding through hands-on implementation.
As part of this challenge, Jianghai built, analyzed, and stabilized a fully working DFT code from the ground up, demonstrating strong command of self-consistent quantum calculations and numerical methods.
In recognition of this achievement, he has been awarded a DFT Dragon Certificate, issued by the Quantum Dragon and approved by the Delta Science Institute as a recognition of academic achievement.
